INSPIRE: Women’s Business Conference

Washington Center for Women in Business (WCWB) and Thurston Economic Development Council (EDC) are thrilled to announce our 5th annual INSPIRE virtual conference on Tuesday, May 18!

We invite you to join us for a day of celebrating women in business and for the opportunity to share your experiences, build community, and learn strategies to engage your customers and thrive in a changing world.

We founded INSPIRE to create a radically inclusive space to talk about things like resiliency and trust among women, and each speaker will bring their own very real experience to the table. This conference is centered on identifying strategies for women to support other women.

This year’s keynote is celebrated inspirational speaker, Certified Professional Coach, and author, Ivy Woolf Turk.

Ivy’s unique history and background showed her a great deal about some of the problems that go along with gentrification and development, and she realized that the stance of fierce, every-woman-for-herself competition that was still present in the business world needed to be reconsidered, because it was leaving a lot of women behind.

INSPIRE will also feature a guest panel of five speakers with Q&A. We are excited to welcome Robin Lucas of Showcase Media, and Christie Lawler, Founder of CJL CONSULTiNG and The WITI Group. Robin and Christie are joined by Susan Gates and Kate Isler, co-founders of the WMarketplace, an e-commerce platform for women-owned/gender-fair businesses. Kate is also the founder and president of Be Bold Now, a virtual conference that celebrates International Women’s Day.
