Eastside Community Based Nonprofits: Rising Together

Virtual Coffee Chat! We welcome BIPOC and Immigrant led nonprofit human/social service providers based in East King County.*

Was your organization specifically founded to serve one or more of our Eastside communities of color and/or immigrant communities?

Are you interested in support for any of these needs?

• Accessing funding (grant info, grant writing/technical assistance)

• Transitioning from an all-volunteer organization to one with paid staff?

• Finding office space

• Accounting, taxes, and financial management

• HR guidance for staffing, employment/hiring policies, benefits, etc.

• Finding a fiscal sponsor

• Obtaining your 501c3

• Partnering with other organizations to coordinate services

• Marketing (increase visibility for your work)

• Mentoring and guidance from other nonprofit leaders, especially ones who understand your work and your community

• Safe spaces to share your struggles and celebrate your accomplishments

• Opportunities to stand in solidarity with others

• Take action to alleviate systemic barriers that impact your work and your community

Come make connections, get information, and share ideas for how we can work together to support small and emerging nonprofits, especially those in communities that experience the greatest disparities, the least amount of representation, and/or the fewest resources based on historic and current patterns of racism and marginalization.

  • Share your mission, services, and hopes for the future of your organization on the Eastside
  • Hear about One Eastside Spark and the resources they have for nonprofits and small business owners.
  • Share what your organization needs to be as strong as possible for the critical work you do every day.
  • Lift each other up and honor all the ways we support the community!

* Majority of your clients/participants are in East King County and your organization has a main office (or satellite office) in East King County.

Hosted by: Centro Cultural Mexicano, CISC, Eastside For All, Eastside Pathways Funding Group, Muslim Neighborhood and Community Association, OneEastside SPARK, and NISO Promotores
