Presented by the Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA) in partnership with the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, Washington Healthplanfinder, OneEastside SPARK and the Washington State Department of Commerce

Recent surveys have shown that there is a significant disparity between large employers with health coverage and the number of very small businesses that have limited or no health coverage. For small business owners, the ability to cover their medical bills and other health costs not only helps their business stay afloat, it also supports their employees and impacts their bottom line.

This free webinar on Wednesday, October 19 at 2pm presents information businesses can use to find the right healthcare coverage for their small enterprise. We will be joined by Marie Cooper, Senior Small Business Outreach Coordinator from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBE) who will share how the Washington Healthplanfinder can help! Marie will be presenting the resources that WAHBE offers small business owners on Washington Healthplanfinder, the state’s official online marketplace for individuals to shop, compare, and purchase quality health insurance. She will cover the value of having insurance, the different insurance options, and how small business owners can support their employees in getting the health coverage they need (no matter their budget).

We will also be joined by two business owners from rural and urban parts of the state. Brandy Andrews, owner of 509 Posh Designs from Central Washington and Thea Feltzs, owner of Comparative Solutions in the Tacoma area. These business owners will share about their experience with accessing coverage with Washington Health Benefit Exchange, perspectives on the challenges small businesses face and ways they were able to overcome some of these barriers.
